Paraty Tech has added the AI assistant Velma as a source for its Leads Panel, allowing a booking conversation to continue after abandonment. The integration with Quinta , announced on September 1, 2026, transfers stay dates, room preferences, language and the history of the exchange into the panel. The hotel can pursue the opportunity with the context the traveller has already provided.
The change connects two different commercial activities: answering an enquiry in the customer's chosen channel and managing follow-up before a reservation exists. Velma operates through website chat, WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram. The panel organises opportunities for the property's team or Ring2Travel agents. The conversation can enter a recovery tool instead of remaining isolated inside the assistant.
The development expands a product Paraty introduced in September 2025. The Leads Panel already brought together information from its booking environment and other proprietary tools. It now adds contacts generated by Velma, the agent from Quinta, also identified as Quintessence of Data. The announcement describes immediate availability of the new integration for Call Seeker customers, connecting it with Ring2Travel's commercial work.
From a dialogue to an opportunity retaining its context
The integration announcement describes the trigger: a traveller talks to Velma, shows booking intent and leaves the process. The lead is transferred automatically to the Leads Panel with the information collected. Stay dates, room preferences and language identify what the person was considering. The conversation history preserves the development of the enquiry alongside its summarised fields.
That history distinguishes the handoff from a simple list of contacts. A name and an email address provide a way to communicate; preferences and the preceding exchange provide material for continuing the conversation. The integration is presented as a way to preserve context between the conversational agent and the recovery team. The hotel can see what someone had asked the assistant rather than reconstructing the enquiry from the beginning.
Antonio Granados , Ring2Travel's operations director, connects the value of these contacts with two signals: interacting with the assistant and showing an intention to book. In the announcement, he explains that receiving context allows more relevant, personalised conversations. That is the commercial logic of the agreement: transfer knowledge acquired during an enquiry into follow-up, rather than treating every contact as if the conversation had started with the same question.
The new source also extends the journey beyond a website form. An enquiry can begin on WhatsApp or social media, channels included in Velma's description. Its common destination is the panel's subsequent organisation. For a reservations team, this brings together opportunities originating on different surfaces but containing information about the same type of decision: selecting and buying a stay.
Which opportunities the panel recognises
The original Leads Panel presentation , published on September 17, 2025, explains its categories. Abandoned baskets include users who reach at least the first room-selection step. Payment errors concern people who complete the steps, attempt to pay and encounter an issue. Quotations sent through Call Seeker are another type of opportunity collected by the tool.
These categories distinguish where purchasing stopped. A search reaching room selection provides a different signal from an unsuccessful payment attempt. The system can identify that difference before an agent decides how to act. Recovery begins with a record of the commercial journey and the particular situation requiring follow-up, rather than a general recommendation to increase sales.
The payment example has particular importance in Paraty's proposed prioritisation. Its documentation mentions unsupported cards, credit limits and transaction failures. These occur after the user has progressed towards a purchase. The provider recommends attention because the person even attempted to complete a booking. Classification turns that point of abandonment into information available for the team's work.
Call Seeker quotations add a different preceding commercial relationship. An opportunity already has an offer sent through the tool, and the panel collects it alongside others. Velma joins the same logic: information originating at one contact point can pass into a shared follow-up list, retaining the source and context that allow each contact to be treated differently.
Collecting information and being able to act on it
Paraty links data extraction to what the user provides. Its list of possible fields includes first name, surname, email address, telephone number and country of origin. The depth of information depends on the journey completed and the details supplied. The panel does not assume every person has filled every field; it organises available information so the agent can assess follow-up options.
Telephone availability has its own visual signal: a green icon identifies leads containing a number. That small distinction changes how the work list can be read. An agent can distinguish contacts with a telephone route available from those containing different information. Commercial action must correspond to the channel and contact permissions applicable to that relationship, without turning possession of a detail into universal authorisation to use it.
The documentation also describes loyalty programmes as sources of information about identified customers. In its 2026 announcement, Paraty lists loyalty, the booking engine, BI, Rescue Seeker, Call Seeker and Paraty AI Webchat among its existing proprietary panel sources. Velma extends that collection from another conversational supplier. The announcement introduces a new origin for opportunities, rather than presenting the product's first use of AI.
This separates two dimensions often combined when discussing leads. One is the contact information available. The other is information about the stay and the interest expressed. Quinta's announced contribution brings together dates, preferences, language and dialogue history. Follow-up benefits from preserving both forms of context: how the relationship can continue and which particular proposition makes that continuation relevant.
Ordering recovery by value and urgency
The Leads Panel is accessible from Paraty Hotel Manager, the company's CMS, and from Call Seeker. Its original documentation describes filters for lead type, booking lead time, arrival and departure dates, reservation value and hotel. A dedicated view shows leads from the previous week. Chains and managers of several properties can select multiple hotels and work across them at the same time.
Each criterion addresses a different commercial decision. Stay dates and lead time locate an opportunity in the calendar. Reservation value indicates its financial scale. Lead category shows how far the customer progressed, while the hotel field identifies the relevant property. The team can combine these dimensions to organise work rather than processing all contacts only in the order they arrived.
Paraty recommends prioritising payment failures, approaching stays and higher-value reservations. These are the provider's usage recommendations, connected with intent, urgency and commercial interest. A nearby stay may require a different response from an enquiry for several months ahead. The tool allows that difference to influence the ordering of opportunities before attention is allocated to each one.
The previous-week view and multiple-property management make the product especially concrete. The first locates recent opportunities without rebuilding a selection. The second brings properties into one recovery operation while preserving the hotel filter. With Velma as a new source, that organisation also receives contacts whose first exchange took place with an AI assistant.
A four-hour email returns the user to their search
Follow-up includes a defined automatic action: an email four hours after abandonment. The 2025 presentation explains that it contains a link for resuming the reservation at the point reached. If a user only arrived at room selection without choosing anything, the link simply repeats the search. The September 2026 announcement again mentions the email and enquiry link as part of how the panel works.
The difference between resuming a selection and repeating a search matters to the message. The system uses the progress actually made instead of treating an initial visit as an existing reservation. The link continues the earlier action. The email therefore has a particular recovery function: allowing someone to return to the stay they were considering.
Four hours is a triggering rule described by the supplier. It is combined with subsequent commercial management, which can include status changes, comments and outbound campaigns. Automation provides an initial return route to the search; intervention by agents provides another way of addressing a customer's circumstances. The panel organises both actions around the recorded opportunity.
That division is relevant to follow-up design. An email link provides a way back into the digital journey. A conversation can address preferences or questions already raised with Velma. The hotel has information for choosing which contact to work on and the context to use. Its filters and categories distinguish situations instead of requiring every interaction with the assistant to enter an identical sales sequence.
From a new lead to shared management
The tool includes a small commercial pipeline. Records enter as new leads and can be moved to contacted, interested and converted. These are statuses agents can change while managing an opportunity. Each contact allows internal comments, preserving follow-up information inside the tool for the people continuing to work on the case.
Statuses and comments perform complementary tasks. The status provides a quick indication of the point reached in follow-up. A comment records details of the team's action. Together with the Velma conversation history, they create two layers of context: what the traveller asked before leaving and what the hotel or agent subsequently did to continue the commercial relationship.
The original documentation includes action by the property's reservations staff or Ring2Travel's agents. It also offers outbound campaigns to customers using only Paraty's engine. The Quinta announcement highlights immediate availability of the integration for Call Seeker customers. These references describe forms of access and service, rather than a count of hotels already adopting the new connection.
Paraty's scale provides context for the development. In a subsequent announcement on September 11, 2026, the provider described a network of more than 3,500 hotels in more than 40 countries. Those figures concern its business and international presence. The new lead source sits within that technology offering, while its announced availability identifies the product and customers addressed by the integration.
The direct opportunity among several purchasing routes
Historical Statista data places direct booking within accommodation purchasing that uses several routes. Some 73% of respondents had booked with Booking.com, 30% with Airbnb and 13% directly with the hotel or private accommodation. The observation covered July 2024 to June 2025 and included 1,598 Spanish residents aged 18–64 who had booked accommodation online during the preceding twelve months. Multiple answers were possible: these are percentages of provider users, rather than shares of bookings or revenue. The direct category includes hotels and private accommodation and is not restricted to properties in Spain.

This context locates Paraty's recovery work among purchasing decisions in which consumers know different options. A contact reaching the panel has a particular operational advantage for the property: it contains an enquiry about its own offer and progress towards a considered stay. The integration aims to make that information available for follow-up while a booking decision remains outstanding.
How the product has developed since 2025
The first panel presentation separated available functions from a roadmap. Planned developments included capture from chatbots and AI agents, integration with Rescue Seeker and further BI capabilities. The 2026 announcement provides a particular development to follow: it names existing proprietary sources and adds Velma conversations. The new connection consequently has its own place in a longer product history.
In that original 2025 offer, Paraty described panel access as free for Call Seeker customers. It directed clients to their account manager or support team to request activation, alongside the option of contracting outbound campaigns.
The 2025 BI proposal specified what the provider wanted to examine: conversion by agent, lead type, recovered reservations and associated revenue. Those are different dimensions from a contact's visible status. Marking an opportunity as interested helps organise attention; analysing recovered bookings and revenue examines the commercial result. The publication placed these descriptions in future development. They explain the direction of the product without becoming new features demonstrated by the Quinta announcement.
The same roadmap mentioned on-request reservations, where availability is absent and a user can request a stay if the situation changes. That is a different origin of demand from a payment failure or abandoned basket. The planned panel therefore covered opportunities interrupted for different reasons, with different requirements for attention. The documented September 2026 development is Velma as a conversational source.
Quinta's contribution is defined by the information from the conversational exchange. The user has shown interest in a reservation before a human team handles the enquiry directly. The panel receives what is known about the stay and organises continuation. Its commercial work draws on information already produced during the interaction, preserving the relationship between the enquiry, the offer being considered and subsequent follow-up.
Who's who and how to read the figures
Paraty Tech is the brand of the Spanish supplier identified in its legal notice as Paraty Hoteles S.L.U., based in Torremolinos and registered in Málaga's commercial register. Quinta, or Quintessence of Data, provides Velma, the conversational agent named in the integration. Paraty Hotel Manager is the management environment providing access to the panel; Call Seeker is Ring2Travel's tool for working on commercial opportunities.
A lead here means a booking opportunity, with the details a user supplied and the available enquiry context. Lead time is the advance period before a stay, used as a filter. Outbound refers to contact initiated by the commercial team to continue an authorised relationship. Four hours describes the automatic email timing; the four statuses organise follow-up. Neither number is a rate of recovered bookings.
The principal date for this story is September 1, 2026, when Paraty announced the addition of Quinta. The September 2025 panel publication explains the underlying functions. More than 3,500 hotels and 40 countries describe Paraty's scale as communicated in September 2026, without turning that network into Velma users. The specific development takes another identified conversation into the hotel's recovery work.
