A points balance changed in Connectif is overwritten at the next synchronisation from Growave, according to the integration guide. The detail defines each system's commercial role: Growave maintains the programme and Connectif uses its information to communicate it.

Connectif explained the collaboration Sept. 14, 2026, connecting 14 event types with communication journeys. Its economic interest lies in turning an available benefit into an opportunity the customer understands and can use. Communicating the wrong reward would do the opposite: turn a loyalty promise into service work and an unmet expectation, even if the message itself receives a high open rate.

The technical guide requires a Shopify store with Connectif integrated and Growave configured. It documents points, tiers, referrals, reviews and wishlist information. The commercial announcement describes activation possibilities but supplies no comparative customer study quantifying the performance of this specific connection between programme records and communication.

The club's promise depends on the current balance

Available and pending points represent different commercial situations. The event table includes Earned Points and Delayed Points; it also distinguishes redeemed and pending rewards. Communication treating all these states as an immediately usable benefit can promise something the customer's account does not yet allow. A technically successful message can therefore describe a commercially unavailable advantage if the states lose their separate meanings.

Synchronisation from Growave to Connectif identifies the authority for these records. The guide says editing fields in Connectif does not send changes back to Growave and the next synchronisation overwrites them. Correcting a balance only in the communication layer does not correct the programme. Information used to send a message should match the record maintaining the customer's actual right to redeem a benefit.

This rule changes interpretation of a support incident too. If someone reports that a reward does not match their balance, the explanation needs to locate the programme state and the information they received. Editing a visible field to close the query can create a temporary answer that disappears during synchronisation. Resolution must preserve the correct promise within the system administering that promise.

The data behind the story

Customer experience61%
Personalization34%
Team alignment15%

Ascend2, reported by Statista, found customer experience cited by 61% and team alignment by 15% when asking about data-quality benefits. It did not study this integration. Growave’s mechanism makes both roles concrete: the team needs to know which system governs the balance so the communicated experience matches the entitlement a customer can exercise.

The guide's appendix says Locale retains a language or region code. That information has a commercial role when the benefit needs an understandable explanation. Translating a tier name and explaining its conditions are different tasks. Communication must preserve the programme balance and rules while adapting the explanation, rather than making one language version appear to offer another reward. Consistency of the entitlement matters alongside readability of the message describing it.

Fourteen events describe moments rather than compulsory campaigns

The guide lists events for reviews, saved products, sales, restocking, points, rewards, referrals, expiry, tiers and birthdays. That coverage distinguishes why someone might receive a message. It does not require communication for every event or turn technical availability into an appropriate frequency policy for every customer. The event list offers choices whose business meaning still depends on the programme's actual rules.

One journey can contain several nearby moments. A purchase can create points, approach a new tier and leave a review pending. Sending every message without relating their meaning requires the customer to interpret separate promises about one relationship. The commercial decision is to explain the useful current state and identify what the person needs to know now, rather than mirror every technical event with another email.

Reached Tier identifies advancement to another level. Its communication value depends on explaining what changes for that person rather than celebrating the level name alone. Progress toward the next tier serves a different function: explaining the distance remaining under programme rules. Combining both aims can turn confirmation of an earned advantage into immediate pressure to make another purchase, without clarifying the benefit already obtained.

Expiry introduces a deadline. Points Expiration and Reward Expiration distinguish points and rewards approaching their end dates. Useful communication identifies which object expires and what can be done with it. Generic talk of benefits can leave someone unsure whether they will lose a balance, a previously earned reward or an opportunity still pending. The distinction is part of the promise made by the programme.

A wishlist connects availability with an expressed preference

Saving an item describes a different relationship from purchasing it. The guide includes Products On Save, Products On Sale and Products In Stock. This mechanism connects a saved preference with a change in price or availability. It gives communication a concrete object: the article someone selected and the condition now changing, rather than a general offer sent without knowing which product matters to the recipient.

Restocking is particularly different from generic promotion. If the product was unavailable, finding it again can resolve a real obstacle. But the notification must correspond to the appropriate variant and current stock. Showing a product name without that continuity can create a visit whose expectation fails again before the cart. Commercial relevance requires the actual purchasable item rather than a superficial match to the customer's saved reference.

Combining availability with points can provide a useful explanation when programme rules permit applying them to the item. The announcement offers this combination as a communication example. Its economic reading must recognise that rewards carry costs and that products and benefits differ. Joining a preference with a balance cannot automatically turn the incentive into a profitable purchase or establish how much demand was additional.

A referral contains two people and two value moments

The event table distinguishes Friend Received Referral from Referral Completed. The first concerns a referred contact creating an account from a link; the second concerns that contact's first purchase and the person making the recommendation. This separation prevents a new registered identity being confused with a new relationship that has already produced a commercial transaction under the programme's stated conditions.

Reward timing matters because each stage has a different cost and outcome. A created account may never buy; a first purchase may be cancelled or contribute less than the incentive costs. Each programme decides when the benefit becomes final. Integration carries the events, but evaluating referral acquisition needs to preserve those rules rather than count all entries as equivalent successful customer acquisition.

A review contributes something different from a repeat purchase

Review Request connects a purchase with a request for product feedback. Pending-review and latest-rating fields represent other parts of that relationship. Reviews inform later buyers and express the experience of an existing customer. They do not equal a repeat transaction and should not be counted as another order within the club's financial performance merely because both appear as activity in a customer profile.

The guide specifies that Last Review Rate and Review Numbers include site reviews, while Pending Reviews Count counts purchased products awaiting review. A recent store rating and a pending item review describe different objects. Preserving that difference avoids requesting feedback as if none existed from someone who already rated the brand, or treating a general assessment as evidence that the customer described their experience with every product purchased. The communication needs to retain which contribution is actually missing.

Choosing the sender avoids an incomplete handover

The guide says selected review, reward and wishlist applications stop sending their emails directly from Growave and send events to Connectif. If an application is not selected, Growave continues sending its emails while its data still synchronise. Communication transfer is therefore a particular choice for each application rather than automatic universal centralisation of every customer message through one provider.

That detail affects transition. Having data in Connectif does not establish that its messaging journeys already cover every moment Growave previously communicated. A selected application can stop sending while the team is still preparing the receiving journey. The connection's value needs continuity between the transferred moment and the explanation the person will receive, instead of treating synchronisation alone as completion of the communication programme.

Redemption has its own economics

Rewards have their own economics. Redemption can accompany a purchase that would have happened anyway, bring another purchase forward or create an additional relationship. The business criterion is net contribution retained after financing the benefit. Attention generated by communicating points is intermediate evidence rather than a replacement for that account or proof that an incentive's cost has been recovered through additional purchases.

In EAE’s study, reported by Statista, value for money accounts for 56.7% of responses and product or service quality for 25.6%. The figures do not prove that awarding points creates loyalty. They place the incentive within a broader offer: a reward can improve perceived value, but its cost and the quality of the experience still determine whether the relationship merits another purchase.

Expiry creates a tension between activation and trust

An expiry reminder can let someone use an unknown benefit. It can also cause frustration if it arrives when there is no reasonable opportunity to redeem. Useful content shows the balance, expiring object and applicable conditions. That precision links the technical event with a decision someone can genuinely make, instead of generating urgency without an action the customer is able to complete under programme rules.

The integration assigns complementary roles to communication and records. Growave maintains programme rights; Connectif receives information and events to explain them. The economic priority is that every communicated promise corresponds to a genuinely usable benefit and a relationship whose cost can be sustained. Fourteen entry points provide options, but growth is decided by fulfilling the particular promise the customer actually received.
