Easypromos added bulk candidate moderation in its September 24, 2026, release. Organisers can change several states using participation identifiers.
The process starts with a CSV export. An administrator or jury reviews entries and prepares acceptance and rejection lists outside Easypromos, then uploads them or pastes the identifiers. The tool applies that classification; the team still reviews the content.
Classify entries before applying the batch
A brand should establish which content is relevant, which information requires review and how uncertainties are handled. Processing more entries in an operation can accelerate a sound criterion or multiply a poor one. Batch size should not determine review rigour or remove the ability to correct decisions.
The identifier belongs to an entry. To explain a decision, the team needs to retain which submission it reviewed and the criterion applied. That proposed record is separate from the tool’s execution summary, which reports the updated count and identifier issues.
The function supports Pending, Accepted and Rejected states. The system reports duplicates or identifiers it cannot find. Reviewing that summary establishes which entries the batch actually changed before handling queries or preparing another publication.
Moderation determines what the public sees
Easypromos' change acts before an entry appears in a public gallery. That moment performs a brand function: it determines which content a campaign displays and which entrants can receive votes when voting is open. Automation applies statuses to already identified entries; the selection criterion remains outside the operation. The mechanism should therefore not be described as an automatic quality assessment or a tool deciding which photograph deserves to win. It accelerates execution of decisions that administrators or judges still need to make and explain.
The gallery must meet a content expectation as well as apply statuses. In the IAB Spain and Elogia survey carried by Statista, 61% of brand followers reported seeking information and 42% inspiration. The study does not evaluate competitions. It frames a moderation decision: the brand needs to select material that explains or represents the campaign before accelerating publication, retaining the same criterion for everyone reviewing each batch.

The documentation refers to a participation identifier rather than a unique person. Someone could have several entries in a mechanic allowing them. That difference limits the meaning of the updated-candidate total. Commercial reporting cannot automatically convert it into people reached, new contacts or buyers. The case supplies no reconciliation between those units. Proposed review would connect each decision to its actual entry and maintain a separate person count where information and stable criteria exist. More updated records cannot establish a corresponding increase in the size or quality of the campaign's audience.
Pending, accepted and rejected have different effects
Moderation speed therefore has an editorial consequence as well as an operational one. Applying a batch close to voting closure can give an accepted entry less exposure. The source publishes no rule equalising those windows and no contest results. The organiser would need to define and explain its calendar. The tool permits status changes; fairness of the journey requires decisions about timing and criteria that cannot be inferred from the technical execution summary. A comparison should retain that context rather than treating all visible entrants as having identical opportunities throughout the campaign.
Batch incidents have a limited meaning
The documentation says the summary shows updated candidates and possible duplicate or missing identifiers. That is execution evidence rather than evidence of decision quality. A found identifier can belong to a misclassified entry; a missing one can reveal preparation error without implying a content problem. Review should retain the incident type and subsequent resolving action. That keeps technical and editorial work separate rather than combining them into a single success rate. The announcement supplies no customer error dataset, so the frequency of those situations cannot be estimated from the feature description.
A batch with duplicates can contain fewer distinct entries than rows. Describing execution needs that denominator reconciled. Identifiers outside the promotion should not become rejected candidates in reporting either. According to the supplier, the system reports incidents; commercial interpretation still needs intended changes compared with actual changes. An operator must distinguish list length, unique intended entries and confirmed updated entries. Treating them as the same number could make productivity appear greater than the amount of distinct work completed, without any underlying increase in reviewed content.
Correction requires recognising current status before repeating an operation. The announcement describes no general rollback guarantee or way to undo all subsequent effects. An entry already visible may have received attention. The team needs to understand what correction changes and which information remains available to explain the journey. This is a boundary against presenting bulk action as free of editorial consequences. The capability to update statuses should be evaluated alongside preparation quality, rather than assuming any later correction makes the original publication irrelevant to participants or observers.
Submitted content and commercial intention are different signals
Submitting a photograph or video expresses interest in a contest mechanic. It does not itself establish willingness to buy the brand's complete offer. The incentive, theme and distribution context affect who participates. Moderation can improve gallery coherence without changing that initial selection. Acquisition assessment would need a recognised next action and separation between existing and new participants. The product publication supplies none of those outcomes and does not turn each accepted entry into a qualified lead, even where participant information provides a way to continue communication.
Having a profile does not guarantee trust either. In another question from the same study, 63% said they did not care whether a brand had a social account; 30% trusted brands with an account more. These are opinions about presence without measuring gallery quality. For the promotion, applying a batch leaves the experience the organizer does control: whether the participant recognizes their entry’s status and the rule applied.

Savings should be measured from preparation through gallery confirmation, rather than only button execution. Accessing material, classifying entries, resolving uncertainty and correcting references remain tasks in the new function's documentation. Entries per minute would describe one part of the process. A complete operating account needs hours and owners across stages for comparable campaigns. Otherwise work may move to an external spreadsheet while reporting presents it as eliminated. No published timing comparison establishes how much Easypromos customers save through this particular release, so a numerical efficiency claim would be invented.
