# Easypromos adds geolocation and store prize inventory to Locations

The July 8 release lets organisers require presence at a store, allocate prizes by location and review participation at each establishment.

[Easypromos](https://elacelerador.es/en/company/easypromos/) expands its Points of Sale module, renamed Locations, in its July 8, 2026, release. Organisers can require physical presence to enter a promotion and manage prizes by establishment.

The check requires the participant to grant location permission. The system compares their position with a radius set by the organiser and displays nearby establishments if they are outside it. The record confirms a participation condition within the promotion; a sale needs separate measurement.

## How to interpret participation by establishment

Evaluation should distinguish awareness of the promotion, visits, valid participations, claimed prizes and recognised purchases. These are proposed campaign-analysis stages. Combining them into one engagement figure obscures whether a programme attracts demand, rewards existing visits or simply adds an activity near checkout.

Each establishment’s context also changes interpretation. A busy location can generate more participations without having a better campaign. Comparison should consider footfall, opening hours, availability and the observation period. An activity ranking identifies differences but does not explain their causes.

The public map helps people find participating locations. Campaign instructions should explain the permission requested and how to claim a prize. Store staff also need those conditions: a valid entry can still end in a query or a failed prize collection.

## Allocate prizes to each store’s delivery capacity

The documentation allows organisers to distribute units of one prize among locations and transfer inventory. Allocation can match expected demand with delivery capacity. Participation statistics can inform changes, provided the organiser also considers each establishment’s footfall.

A promotional purchase’s economics must recognise the prize and discounts, as well as returns and capacity consumption. If the visitor would have purchased anyway, part of that cost can be a transfer to the customer without additional demand. It may be a deliberate investment in the relationship, but should be explained under that objective.

Assessing incremental visits through location or period comparisons requires sufficiently similar conditions. Parallel campaigns, staffing changes, weather and availability can alter footfall. Without a design that separates those factors, reporting should describe associations rather than assign every variation to the promotion.

## Measure repeat visits and subsequent purchases

A recurring campaign can help explain which occasions bring someone back, but needs coherent identity and a follow-up rule. Counting the same visitor as newly acquired at every participation produces a misleading growth picture. Recurrence deserves its own account.

## Connectivity does not guarantee completing geolocation

INE reported internet use among 96.3% of people aged 16 to 74 in the three months before their 2025 survey interview. Basic or advanced digital skills were reported for 66.5%. The annual household survey had a theoretical sample of 26,862 homes. It measures neither geolocation permission nor promotion customers.

The difference between connecting and completing an action matters at the venue. Someone can use the internet while not understanding why location is requested, not finding the permission or choosing not to grant it. Those situations differ from being outside the radius. The brand experience needs an explanation connecting the requested data with participation. Visitors should understand the action and its consequence, rather than a national access figure being treated as a guarantee that everyone will complete the mechanic. Actual campaign records need to show where the journey continues or stops.

## The radius is a commercial decision applied to a technical signal

Easypromos' documentation describes comparing a position with an administrator-defined radius. The commercial rule needs to establish which proximity makes participation valid. A tighter limit can exclude boundary situations; a wider one can admit positions the organiser did not intend to include. The choice depends on venue arrangement and purpose, rather than simply making the number smaller. Signal precision and clarity of the condition belong to that interpretation. A successful coordinate comparison cannot alone establish whether the chosen rule matches the public's understanding of participation inside the establishment.

IAB Europe/Kantar: 10,500 internet users aged 16+ across twelve markets, including 1,000 in Spain; quota-based online panel. Each bar represents a separate response. The question concerns advertising if someone agreed, not actual geolocation permission or promotion abandonment.

| Location within 500 meters | 32% | 19% |

IAB Europe and Kantar, reported by Statista, found greater stated opposition to advertising use of location within 500 meters than to use of a town or city. The question did not study in-store promotions. It does clarify Locations’ explanation: checking proximity to deliver a prize and using location for advertising are different purposes, a distinction the campaign should preserve when requesting permission.

W3C's geolocation specification explains that information concerns the device and can come from several sources without guaranteeing its exact actual location. This is general technical context rather than an Easypromos audit. Geolocation specification . A coordinate and a verified commercial presence therefore have different meanings. Participation records should describe the applied condition instead of becoming universal proof of a visit, stay or purchase. The source helps delimit what location data can establish; it does not identify a particular customer implementation or validate its chosen radius.

## An imported location retains several responsibilities

According to the release, CSV import and automatic geolocation simplify entering many establishments. A file can contain a valid address while representing another entrance, an older name or a venue no longer participating. Campaign review needs to connect the record with the place the public recognises. That is not another promotion per store. It allows central operation to preserve correct local meaning rather than treating every imported row as proof of offer availability. The data-entry shortcut reduces one task while the responsibility for an accurate destination still remains with the campaign owner.

## Inventory limits the campaign's promise

Each venue has allocated prize units, with distribution, amendments and transfers described in the documentation. That separation prevents a central total hiding where fulfilment is possible. A store with units and one without them offer different opportunities despite common creative material. Participation should be read alongside the period each prize was available. Otherwise rankings can penalise a venue for allocation constraints and mistake them for lower visitor interest. The inventory record helps explain the opportunity the public actually encountered instead of assuming every destination offered equal participation conditions throughout the campaign.

Transfers alter distribution during the campaign. They may respond to observed activity, but also change the next comparison: the receiving venue can keep an opportunity available longer. Allocation history explains that effect. No optimised-distribution outcome is published here. The economic logic is that brands need available units connected with participation before deciding a higher total warrants more budget. That total may partly reflect extended availability. Treating it as independent proof of local demand would overlook an operational decision that changed who could continue to claim the offer.

Configuring a prize once reduces duplicated definition, while fulfilment remains local. Staff preparation and physical units belong to the cost. Digital inventory can organise entitlements inside the application without describing the full storage or handover process. The launch documents allocation rather than reconciliation of every customer operation. Commercial accounts need claimed and fulfilled rewards observed rather than ending when someone wins. That stage matters to the brand experience because the expectation produced centrally is resolved by people and resources available at a particular establishment.

## Staff receive an expectation created elsewhere

The Seller Portal adds email-and-code access, several locations per agent and venue-specific statistics, according to the release. Those capabilities distribute work among people who can cover several venues. Value depends on identifying the campaign and reward applicable to a visitor. A clearer central record can provide context but cannot replace explanations of entry or claiming. The brand message needs to be recognisable to whoever answers the first question locally. A shared interface supports that responsibility without automatically establishing that every venue delivers the same service experience.

Support workload does not necessarily follow valid participation totals. One venue can receive more permission or incentive-condition questions while another completes entries with fewer difficulties. Counting only accepted activity hides the work. Evaluation needs reasons and resolutions alongside fulfilled units, distinguishing local interest from friction cost. The announced function supplies situated statistics; service quality needs the history of what happened to visitors. A high count may reflect effective demand or repeated attempts, and the commercial account should not assume both consume the same resources or create identical value.

EAE Business School: 1,000 respondents, age profile 18–70\. Original fieldwork dates, interview method and sampling frame are unspecified. Statements overlap rather than forming exclusive shares; the study does not measure Easypromos users, support workload or venue effectiveness. The 9.1% refers to AI recording preferences for personalised advertising, not consent to any AI use.

| Does not mind AI recording preferences for ads | 9.1% |

In EAE’s study, published by Statista, 56.9% said they liked advice from a real person. It cannot predict how many enquiries a store will receive. Here the figure locates a cost missing from the counter: clarifying permission or handing over a reward fulfils a commercial expectation even when that service produces no additional entry.

Prize allocation can compete with service capacity. An incentive attracting people during a saturated period has a different consequence from one filling available capacity. A shared campaign needs local timing and operations recognised alongside reward inventory. This interpretation assumes no outcome among Easypromos customers. It explains why one participation unit can consume different resources depending on where and when it happens. That context keeps marketing's promise connected with what the establishment can deliver instead of using centrally available prizes as the only measure of readiness to receive demand.

Locations' tradeoff is running one central promotion without erasing local limits. Brands gain distribution and activity-management capacity, while every venue still needs units and service to fulfil the opportunity. The next decision rests on entries, fulfilled rewards and recognised purchases, with footfall and timing where measurable. Digitally situated participation is a useful signal. Growth appears when that signal preserves an experience the establishment can complete and a contribution justifying its cost. The mechanism connects online entry and physical delivery, but the local account determines whether the connection creates commercial value.
